What Makes an Official File Official?
An official profile is not a folder containing everything we know. It is a deliberate public promise about what is ready to be recognized and carried forward.
Official does not mean exhaustive
Character formation produces possibilities, experiments, rejected directions, working notes, and private production evidence. Publishing all of it would not create transparency; it would collapse unfinished thought into public identity. An official file must be selective enough to be trustworthy.
The public profile therefore answers a narrower question: what can ZOSTAGE responsibly stand behind now? It presents an approved identity, public visual language, clear disclosure, and the stories or activities that are ready to be understood as part of the character's career.
Selection is a form of responsibility
Every field and image that crosses the public boundary changes what an audience may reasonably believe. A draft relationship can look like established history. An exploratory expression can look like a permanent trait. A visually impressive test can look like a debut announcement. Context cannot be repaired by a small disclaimer after the wrong impression has already been designed.
That is why public selection is separate from internal approval. Something may be useful, complete, or accepted inside a production process without being appropriate for publication. The official file exists only after the public meaning of each selected element has been considered together.
A profile is a current snapshot
Characters are expected to grow, so an official file cannot pretend to be timeless. It records the current public identity while stories accumulate around it. Later change should remain understandable: what was true before, what is true now, and which public decision made the new version current.
This is different from silently editing history. ZOSTAGE treats public versions as records and changes the current pointer only when a replacement is approved. The audience sees a coherent present without requiring the past to disappear.
Official is a promise of stewardship
The value of the file is not the badge itself. It is the obligation attached to it. Once ZOSTAGE calls a profile official, the agency takes responsibility for keeping identity, disclosure, public stories, relationships, and stage appearances connected and intelligible.
This is also why the word cannot be used for a visual study or an unnamed placeholder. An editorial image can express our point of view without representing a person. An official file begins only when there is an approved character and a continuing commitment behind the publication.
An official file contains less than everything—and carries more responsibility than a simple profile.
